The Oakfield Public Library is seeking a new library director. Oakfield is a friendly village of about 1,000 people, with a wonderful, small library. The director works with a supportive board. This position requires 20-30 hours per week, with a somewhat flexible schedule. Pay is $20 per hour. Includes paid days off and retirement benefits.

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for maintaining a warm and welcoming environment
  • Overseeing budgeting and planning
  • Managing staff
  • Developing the library collection
  • Enhancing library outreach
  • Executing programs for various age groups

Qualifications:

  • At least 54 college semester credits, with at least half in the liberal arts and sciences
  • Must have or agree to obtain a Wisconsin Grade 3 Librarian Certification
  • Must have an excellent working knowledge of computers
  • Should have a dynamic personality and be good with all types of people
