The Oakfield Public Library is seeking a new library director. Oakfield is a friendly village of about 1,000 people, with a wonderful, small library. The director works with a supportive board. This position requires 20-30 hours per week, with a somewhat flexible schedule. Pay is $20 per hour. Includes paid days off and retirement benefits.
Job Summary:
- Responsible for maintaining a warm and welcoming environment
- Overseeing budgeting and planning
- Managing staff
- Developing the library collection
- Enhancing library outreach
- Executing programs for various age groups
Qualifications:
- At least 54 college semester credits, with at least half in the liberal arts and sciences
- Must have or agree to obtain a Wisconsin Grade 3 Librarian Certification
- Must have an excellent working knowledge of computers
- Should have a dynamic personality and be good with all types of people
