About Us

Since the official opening in 1878, Oakfield Public Library has been located in the heart of downtown Oakfield.  The library strives to enrich lives by connecting community, information and ideas, to promote literacy, lifelong learning and exploration.

If you are looking for the newest of the new at the library, the front display shelf is always a good bet.  New picture books for children are always displayed on top of the bookshelves. New movies are marked, and a list of movies ordered is always available for you to place holds even before they arrive.  If you have a suggestion for materials you think we should purchase, please feel free to share them with us.

The library participates in a rotation of large print and audiobooks through our library system.  Collections change monthly, so there are always new things to choose from.
